The opening of Blue Monarch in Weston is, in several ways, the culmination of a long journey. Its Iranian-born founder, Mojgan Brumby, saw the moniker Blue Monarch as a fitting choice for the store. This butterfly known for its ability to make transatlantic flights represents not only her own personal journey to the United States, but also the story behind the origins of the skin care line she now brings to the Bay State.

The skin care line uses traditional Persian remedies passed down to Mojgan from her grandmother, mother and aunt, and combines them with the most advanced technology and science to create effective, natural products. Nearly a decade in the making, Blue Monarch’s products for men and women use only certifiably raw, natural ingredients, are packed with protein, vitamins and minerals, and never use synthetic and other harmful ingredients.

“Our products are all made in the US and never tested on animals. They’re tested on me!” said Mojgan. Beyond providing high-quality, all-natural skin care products, Mojgan’s plan for the store includes a 360-degree approach to a healthy lifestyle.

“Knowledge is power. From what we eat, to how we exercise our minds and bodies, to what we put on our skin, we need information, supported by facts and free from jargon, to make the right decisions for ourselves and our families.”
Blue Monarch will host monthly workshops featuring local health-care and beauty experts, and the store’s website and blog will highlight local resources and news on the latest skin care breakthroughs. The space will also host events to benefit local nonprofit and social organizations and will welcome women-owned small businesses and other entrepreneurs to host networking events.
